Actually that's milliseconds (EDIT: in java.util.Date, not *nix time_t), but anyway, Happy 1234567890 Epoch!
-
a few (dozen) pages ago someone (FFM?) v posted that already. Few (dozen) pages later someone've read exactly the opposite trend from the same data.
And, GR might still be right, - number of subscribers might be rising atm, despite falling through most of 2008. -

Wait, no replying to tells? How are you supposed to arrange to get into teams? Blind invites only??
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I mean no Neither /t nor /r work on trial. So, you just try to find someone visually and /local them, write "Trial" in your name and /sea comment, and accept blinds. You still CAN get teams, not all of them total <censored> but, well, it isn't really that fun. -
Hasten is easy, - letting Hover go would free a pick (it would be nice with TP and conceptually, but with the Raptor shop in Shadow Shard I can eventually get the same flexibility, if not the same style/concept.) (getting it pre-28 but post-20 would only affect SPTF, - no big deal, and it positively can't be fit anytime earlier.)
Me likes Health and Hurdle Main problem is that with TP and Siphon Speed, Swift feels kind of pointless, TP doesn't benefit from it and in combat Siphon gives all the movement speed I can use efficiently anyway.
Overslotted/underslotted powers, - thanks, will fix that. -
Up to lvl 17 that's the slots i've actually taken (+/- lvl). Further, - more or less my idea of slotting. Pets>Stamina>attack chains>everything else. (Still not decided on specific enhancements @50... )

Or, in Mid's format and with more tweaks:

Level 1: Blind Empty(A)
Level 1: Transfusion Empty(A)
Level 2: Deceive Empty(A)
Level 4: Spectral Wounds Empty(A)
Level 6: Hurdle Empty(A) (IMO, more useful than Swift, - allows you to hop over things instead of running around, esspecially if I plan picking CJ later anyway.)

Level 41: Fissure Empty(A)
Level 44: Seismic Smash Empty(A)
Level 47: Rock Armor Empty(A)
Level 49: Earth's Embrace Empty(A)
Tested it a little too, yes, it's more of a "stalktroller" I had in mind initially, with Deceive being very useful. And those Lost buckshots, CoT archers and Penumbra may shoot at me to their hearts' contents It won't work.
-
Yes, ythat's a better one, although... What Inertial reduction does that travel powers don't? And at very early levels, Blind has more utility, IMHO, - Spectral wounds get most of their damage from Containment anyway, so I'd still reverse their order
-
well, so, it should be like that:
1) Blind, Transfusion
2) siphon power
4) Spectral wounds
6) Recall Friend
8) Superior Invisibility
10) Siphon Speed
12) Hurdle
14) Health
-------
16) Decieve
18) Phantopm Army
20-24) SB, Teleport, Stamina (still thinking on the exact order)
26) Spectral Terror
28) Increase Density
30) ??
32) Phantasm
35) Transference
38) Fulcrum Shift.
41+) Epic (Still not decided... Earth, probably.) -

You can arrange places of powers with a respec. First one is after level 24 iirc.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but I doubt if it's worth it in this particular case. Unless farming very low-level arcs will be the next big thing to do, of course... (EDIT: if you meant not picking Stamina prerequisites, - well, I'm not sure, the build looks ok the way it is/will be and respecs are more difficult to get nowadays ) -
[ QUOTE ]
There are other enemy groups than Council in early levels, you know?
[/ QUOTE ]
I tend to forget... Ok, postponing ID. (If I thought of it earlier, then I'd probably rather postpone Siphon Power, from my experience you can't use it effectively pre-Stamina anyway, but what's done is done. Plus, it's still nice on team, buffing blasters and khelds.) -

You know if they just ran one set of forums and used the PlayNC master account as the log in it'd be so much simpler.
[/ QUOTE ]is it not done by plaync account to log on here?....... it been a long time snice i needed to relog into this forum, i can't remember lol
[/ QUOTE ]
That's exactly why it isn't. Most people auto-login on forums, and using the same login for the master account with CC and personal info isn't... advisable. So, we need separate login for forums, with separate credentials.
Technically CoX-EU and CoX-US are 2 separate games. Now, unless NC plans to re-code alot, or go ahead and merge billing as well as forums, they won't just tie forum accounts to master accuonts, - if they do, they get problem of, say, Lineage players getting access to CoX forums and vice versa.
So, my bet is that it would be either some form of full merger or nothing. Half-measures would cost more and save less. -

My position is 'potentially redundant' within the Brighton office, and at the current time I intend to accept voluntary redundancy. I'm not interested in living in the US.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good luck, hope it'll all be sorted out somehow... And whatever they say, your job is in no way "redundant". -
Hmm... Everyone keeps mentioning Deceive... If only I could figure how to add it to a build withot dropping/postponing other essential stuff. (I want SupInv for its utility in ghosting and of course Blind/Spectral and all kin's three early drain-buffs...) then at the teens it's all essential again, maybe Increase Density can be postponed (I want it early mostly for aforementioned -KB IO I've got...)
-
It's 6 mission, so no dimionishing returns. It's also not the final one, so it won't cause them anyway, as long as the arc itself continues.
Well,it's still not Nictus Insurrection (half of it from what I understand) but yeah, "nothing is 100% farm-proof"... And it shouldn't be, really, although moving farm's locations around is a good idea, - keeps it somewhat lwess tedious for non-hardcore farmers. -

The Servers slightly less so, mainly due to the time difference (you get a fair few After School Special teams which can be... odd). But if there was an (un)official EU server it'd mitigate that more.
[/ QUOTE ]
The (un) part will be very unlikely, NC keeps the serverstuff pretty secured (ok, LA2 excluded, but they activly hunt for em).
Ok, forums are bitty weird (due timezone too), the servers itself are ok, they have few more stuff then we have such as the sewer hunts. You just need to blend in a bit
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, US Sewer hunts are the most fun I've ever had starting a character. By the time you emerge (either by fighting your way through to the Kings entrance or by Death Taxi) you've gained 7 levels in under an hour.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well let me guess, you never started a new alt on Union, Atlas? We are doing it all the time and many runs include Atlas Bank mission. I mostly leave that core team around level 12-14 if they decide to continue Midnighters arc in Steel too.
[/ QUOTE ]
depends... I started a new troller a week ago, and had to solo Atlas and Kings banks (Although I did join a team which did Atlas+Midnighters, but after I soloed the bank, and the team desintegrated after Lady Jane. (we had to re-try it two times, and then arc's owner had to go) ) Partially that's because of an odd hours I was playing, though. It's still better than it used to be. (My defender I play from time to time had teams from Atlas to The Hollows to Faultline, and he's storm, not emp or kin. ADD: and yes, it's in the search comment) -

What's so wrong with Elitism?? It may have dated a bit but Elite was a pioneering game in its day.

Problem is, Elite leaves no time for anything else in your life, including posting on foruums and work -

First Law of MMO: Devs can do no good. Seriously, whatever they do, it's GUARANTEED to be hated, hated, HATED! Fixed a semi-exploit everyone used? Hate. Left it in place? Hate. Buffed something? Hate! (because you don't use it) Nerfed something? HATE! (because you do) Released new cool content? LOL, r u n00b? Who needs content, gimme 1337 pvnz0r g3/\r! Didn't release content, - yawn, nothing new in game, going to cancel.
/sarcasm off
Actually, merits did that they were designed to do, - made most of TFs from completely pointless into something you might consider running. It's easier to find TF teams now, and teams in general. And from that point "time spent on task" is perfectly valid metric, because that's how most players think. "Yeah it's a bit tricky the first time, but you can ghost mishes 3, 5, and 7, and the AV is vulnerable to [insert tactics here]. Can be completed in 45 minutes! Bargain! Farm it!"
Now, the developers made a mistake, - villains market being separate from heroes and content being differently structured, there ought to be some kind of "fudge factor" in either rewards oi prices for villains. But, truth be told, same is true for heroside, - recipes prices skyrocketed there too, you know. And, most importantly, devs neither could foresee all that (general trends maybe, but in no way exact values for those fudge factors), nor they can react to the current situation before at least I14 (again, more changes=more change-haters, if nothinfg else.) So, I hope year from now merit system would be much smoother, and less controversal. -
Well, another question, - Flash. From numbers alone it looks fairly unimpressive (short duration, long recharge, low accuracy) but there's simply nothing else at earlier levels that can help with crowd control... Is it worth taking, after all?
-
1) Thanks, so it's really workable. (Actually I got the idea after running radio mishes in Steel Yes, sometimes re-siphoning is a problem, but it's still faster than lowbie flight or jump, and if the siphon misses, my raptor is keybound .)
2) I meant who gets buff from the global enhancement, not from the power. Sorry, wasn't clear... -
Anyone has any ideas (or wishful thoughts) on what I14 changes Synapse hinted at would be? From the sound of it they would be more than another datamine update...
What I'd personally like would be some rewards for non-owners of arcs and something that would stop INFlation. (although it's fun to think that my puny ~3 mil pre-I13 build is now 25 mil, it's... Well, you all know...) -

or 5678 (if they're an old Speccy user who misses the Cursor Keys)?
[/ QUOTE ]
As an old Speccy user I disagree... QAOP was much better than cursor keys. In fact it would be better than WASD is now, if we needn't to use mouse too. -
1) I plan to take travel power at 22, and get by before that using slotted Siphon (+hurdle), raptor and mish TP. Is this an OK strategy or I'll be team's slowest guy at higher lvls?
2) Steadfast -KB and Increase Density. Who would get the buff? Me or target? (got it as random drop).
