Fix'd. Forgot to put the .net at the end of the URL

That was a Quick Reply...didn't mean to make it seem like you said that.

I think that you are doing the right thing by being here, being present and answering questions, just be aware that there's a lot of hard feelings that aren't so easily glossed over.
[/ QUOTE ]
Those people with hard feelings should contact Jomaro and work out a solution or request a refund. Otherwise I don't see many hard feelings around here, amazingly enough the exact opposite. The bottom line is either you choose not to patronize MMOART.com or you do.
Some may want a long detailed explanation of what happened, but if you really get right down to it, the only thing that matters is receiving the artwork or a refund.
Both of which should be arranged in private contact with Jomaro and not bantered about on this forum.
Now then...on with the ARTWORK! YAY! -
Mind if I give it a shot?
Here's some of the banners I've done recently. I usually do most of the banners for Repeat Offenders forum.

Wouldn't it be better to have the discussion on Paragon Wiki, as that's a player created site with its own forums
Besides a wiki is about constant editing, so log on and edit that page. Or put your information in the talk page of that section, someone will come along and refine it. -
About a week ago, I received communication from Gill about my order, but he also added in this explanation about the email database situation.
[ QUOTE ]
[...]On a different note, I was asked this question this morning,
and in case anyone on the board is asking you the same thing I want you to
know this clarification about our former database. What we lost was the
email correspondences with most of our clients, including their original
orders. What was already saved were the screenshots and website files and
other misc. documents that had nothing to do with Outlook. So it's not that
we don't know who is who, it's that if we need to contact a particular
client, we may not know the last conversation we had about their commission
and/or what their current email address is. And the reason why we were still
able to send out the newsletter mailing earlier is because that is built in
a web-based mailing script, not Outlook. We log into it on-line, type in a
mass message, and it automatically sends the mailing out to the 645 email
addresses that are registered on there. There's no way we could possibly
filter through the hundreds of email addresses that are batched together to
figure out who is a client, who is a fan, who is a collabo artist, etc.,
etc..
[/ QUOTE ]
Hopefully this clears up things for those who were confused about receiving a mass email from MMOART. -

(Is there some reason why the images are all the way to the far right in IE?)

I apologize if I offended anyone. I frequent other forums where critique, whether positive or negative, is encouraged over just saying something is nice, and I did not realize it was not appreciated here unless the artist asks for it. I will be careful to keep my observations to myself from now on.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not the artist and the artist isn't able to reply on the forums yet. But I don't think Jomaro is going to get flustered over your comments so no worries
As a side note, even unregistered visitors can view the forums, they just aren't able to reply. -
My link is working, it goes html when you quote it, Mr Smarta**
It's been edited to use the UBB code, now when you quote me it'll stay in link format. -

That's not real chocolate anyway -

Jomaro ownz. His art is sick to say the least. I'm not speaking for him but he was hit hard by personal tragedy the first time things went silent. Then his database issue. In the end, it will hurt his buisness...and understandibly so, people pay money and they want their money's worth. With more MMO's, namely hero/comic MMO's like Champions Online and DCU he'll be the #1 commission artist again no doubt.
Much love to the Kindred Family.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed! -
[ QUOTE ]
Does that include clients of MMOart Studios?
[/ QUOTE ]
Might want to send an email to the address on the site. We can't answer that question.
Those who want refunds should request them. -
Please show it, maybe I can adjust mine (if its acceptable) to work in low and high world textures.

Okay I changed the layout and used the ad sizes required. I tried to keep things simple and easy to read. The images of the newspapers are stock photos.
Ad Size 512x256
Ad Size 256x256
The Paragon City Logo can be swapped out for a character image or something else more eye catching. It's really just a placeholder -
I'll test out the image at the required sizes for readabilitiy.
-
Here's a quick one I tossed together...I'll work on it more tomorrow or later this evening. (The image can be reduced, I worked in a larger format)
City Scoop Ad
(I don't like all the white space but if anyone has any suggestions I'll read them when I get home) -
The site was known to those on the list who were told to keep it private. I do realize how the net works but you have to know it exists to go looking for it. Can't unspill the milk but I know I kept pretty quiet about that particular commission for a long time...naturally I wasn't keen on seeing the list posted on this forum.
I think its great what the artist are offering here and I'm sure folks will take you all up on it, as well they should. -
Those who were on the Redlight Lab list are supposed to be private.
Please allow those who have commission to make their own post if they want the take advantage of the artist's offer in this thread.
I made my commission privately not publicly and I don't appreciate the private queue list being posted. Allow me to decide when or if I give up on MMOART.
Thank you -
TA:
If I had any contact with them, I'd certainly let folks know. I'm just sending messages to them using the contact info I have (which is more than likely the same info you have). I'm just hoping everything is okay with them. -
I think folks have been waiting a long time for their artwork and really aren't liking the lack of communication....which is understandable. Let's also keep in mind that up until 2 months ago Jomaro/GIll was posting new artwork on his site, and folks were thrilled at their pieces. So it's only been 60 days since he posted anything new and has been having trouble keeping in contact.
We don't know what's going on so without a message or some kind our minds wander and jump to the worst. So right now everyone who has a commission is in flux and we simply don't know what's happening. All we can do now is wait for a answer of some type.
Also TA, that priceless piece as I recall, there was missing payment from certain parties so that piece was still being held up, then I believe there was a change to it. So I really never expected to see that piece come to light. -
Just wondering how many folks asked for a refund when Gill made the offer eariler this year, or did everyone just decide to wait it out?
