Thongs... on a beach!
Sorry I didn't follow the two-click rule, but you can click on each one of them if you like. -
That's a great slideshow. There definitely needs to be sixth costume slot, so you can have a fish form too.
-
Ah yes. When one has money to burn, the key is to use the infinitive. I am resisting the urge to put a "boldly" in there.
Ooh but you've given me an idea for another commission! I wonder if my sister has replaced her broken piggy-bank yet. -
It's been a while since I've posted. I have some art taking its own time to materialize, and work has been too busy to dream up Airhead scenes. But occasionally I find commission opportunities impossible to resist.
This one, by Robaato, was requested with just my usual reference images, no particularly airheaded pose, so just focus on the artist's talent for this one:
Hopefully more coming soon! -
More brilliance! I'm so glad you keep posting, this thread is a joy to watch. The fawn scout moves with such lightness, almost - but not quite - flying.
-
Great action shot! Nice to see the Praetorian mobs too.
-
Great production quality on these comics! Some great funny moments too. Very nice work.

N.F. looks good! I like how you snuck all those glowy pills into the stripes on his shirt...
The Wikipedia page for Nuprin (Ibuprofen) has a strange way of wording things. "Dr. Adams initially tested his drug on a hangover. He was subsequently awarded an OBE in 1987" -
Alphalives!
Sounds like a band. Forever young... although those missiles look a bit impending. Could it be another false death, another round of grieving - more Nema art!?
Although now I have to investigate Hand's gallery. He has made this truly epic. It would take more than two missiles to bust this move.
Makes a note to get better at outmoded colloquialisms. -

Oh man, I love your Solip(s)ist! Nothing beats being a hero in your own head.
It's an absolutely brilliant piece of art too. A solipsist-detective. Brilliant.
Sherlock: "When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
Solipsist: "When you have eliminated all that you are looking at, then whatever remains, however imaginary, must be the truth." -
Eee, that is good!
The dear Praetor hopes the viewer confuses 'adoration' with 'adorable'. And it just might work... -
Bit late, just off the plane, but...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I'd draw you but I don't have an orange pen... -
Hey, I'm as Texan as all y'all yall! I even b'n practisin' me Texish:
"That ain't a tree, that's grass!"
Still in Houston, about to be full of burger...
Okay I better go now before they find someone who can read -
I claim jet-lag. I really thought I'd posted about how much I like the blood golem.
Y'all. <-- Is in Houston, full of barbeque -
Likewise, keep it up! This is a great comic (But don't feel obliged to send teasers, I'm happy to wait to see finished pages).

Quote:I think it'd be harder to appreciate the truly gorgeous art if you had that gun pointed at you.absolutely love that Sorah piece, as has been said the background is great, outlines very clearly the setting of the piece. One thing i was wondering about tho, although i love the view point, is there a reason the viewer is not quite the subject of their attention?

Mauve and Shake
Nightmauves
Mauvin' On Out
Or stick a handlebar moustache on the outside of his cowl, and you got... Mauvember.
Sorry. 'Mauve' just sounded so wrong for an old timer hero. How about Lilac Mack instead? Or Chartreuse Fuse. The Puce Noose. Peachcomber. -
Fistopheles
The Activist
Night Righter
Vigilante Jaundice
Elocutioner
Thugmugger

Arachnos Cruise Missiles No Longer Your Friend
Problem: Arachnos cruise missiles set to "Ally" will no longer blow up your enemy (as of the latest issue), unless the enemy can be convinced to pummel the missile, in which case it eventually causes a little bit of damage when it is destroyed. This means your villain's acts of terrorism can only be implied, not actual, and your heroes have to find more appropriate ways to be heroic.
Solution: Oh I see what you did there
crawls away to rethink his arc -
That would be cool! His lumpy hair could even resemble a hat with straw under it...
Gender-non-specifically, you maybe Attache's Janet Planet as the scarecrow.
Caemgen comes to mind for the lion part, but that might also be a good opportunity for one of the cat girls. I'm sure no hero wants to be "cowardly", but the story doesn't leave him that way. -
Gotta agree with Caemgen about Janet (I'm biased towards the personality), but they're all great pics.

This is incredible, the composition, characters and mood. Like Tim Burton but softer. The robot friends seem to reflect the suffering that the central character may have buried away.

I guess a typical motivation would be triggered by some personal affront done by a superbeing because of being super. Such as, collateral damage was inflicted on a family member or other very valuable thing by a super's powers. Turnaround would be if the slight turned out never happened, or if the injured party (mother?) told him it was really okay. To have a super do something right to "right the wrong" would be hard, finding anything that compared to the original slight that led to a life of super-cide.
Perhaps simple jealousy. That could be reversed by a super (like the natural Manticore) pointing out that the hyperassassin was essentially a superhero. If the jealousy is about having fans, then the fans appear. Of course, that's a morally ambiguous situation as it might even stimulate further supermassacres.
Perhaps someone stole his security blanket, and his childhood was bleak after that (probably pure coincidence). He sees capes as security blankets for heroes, and so he wears the capes of his kills. He knows, on some psychosis level, that a security blanket is only good for a little while (his own obviously ran out of "security power", since it got stolen) so he is constantly seeking new capes. He comes good when he wins an all-you-can-wear shopping spree at "Manscape", the cape warehouse. At least, til the magic of his collection wears off... or perhaps he simply suffocated under a mountain of billowing fabric.
I like that last one, personally.
