    MA Mondays!

Amygdala was going away. Nobody knew why Amy was going; nobody knew where Amy was going; indeed, nobody even knew why they knew Amy was going away. But somehow or other everybody in the Mission Architect building felt it was happening at last.

  2. Where: Cascades Archipeligo, inside the hidden rebel Mole Point.
Levels required: Levels 40 - 50. Auto SK'ed to whomever is team captain at the moment (would help to get a good number of 50s to provide backup in case team captain DC's).
Team needed: Full count of 8 to even start. Given AV at end, try to keep that full team.
    Villain sets: Rularuu, Nemesis, Circle
Length: 15 Missions (Stealthing is risky as Rularuu and Nems can spy Stealthers)

For the Saturday 10/10 TF, please let me have a volunteer for team leader. I'd suggest a start time between 2 pm EST to 4 pm EST. Try to configure to people's dinner plans. Danke.

For the Sunday 10/11 TF, I will host. For now. >:-)
I would like the start time at 4 pm EST (1 pm Pacific) as best option. Thanks.
    1) @Witty Librarian - the one and only Wittylibrarian (50 Energy Blaster).

  3. One more thing!!!

This TF begins at the Sara Moore contact hiding in the Mole Point (hidden rebel fortress) in the Cascades. It would really help if everyone could access that hidden base. As such:

    1) You need to find Gen. Hammond contact in FBZ. he's right there as you get out of the stargate, um portal. Run his first arc (introduction to geyser jets). He will then unlock the Dr. Boyd contact.

    2) Run Dr. Boyd's first arc. It will introduce you to the hidden base in the Cascades. Once you unlock the base, and use its' hidden portal back to FBZ, you are able to sneak in/out between that shortcut forever and ever.

    3) Running any other missions by Hammond or Boyd are strictly optional. You just need to unlock the base.
  4. There exists a realm beyond that of FireBase Zulu... The Cascades... from here the waters flow crimson red... the Nemesis forces plot all... and the donuts are 3 for 200,000 inf. Yes, the only thing cheap here is life...

Good thing it's a Double-XP weekend with double the action, double the XP, and slightly double the Inf and Prestige points!

    The rules:
    1) Full 8-player team is needed to start. And given the threat faced on the final mission, it helps to keep that full team together to the bitter end. And the minimum level is 40, with the cap at 50 (good thing for Auto SK, we no longer have to worry about balancing the SKs to Mentors).

    2) Team balance is a must: Tankers to control God aggro; Defenders and Controllers with debuffs to weaken God buffage; Blasters and Scrappers to inflict the damage needed to drop God into the bright void. Khleds can join in as well.

    3) Travel powers used to require at least one teammate with Fly/Teleport + Recall Friend. With temp Jetpacks now sold in all shard realms, this is optional (but still helpful). Also, it helps to have Ouroborous ports available for the missions that head back into the city proper.

    4) The length of this TF isn't too long, not as bad as Dr. Q last weekend. At best, 2 hours. Average is a little over 3 hours. Just make sure people can travel.

To ensure we get the teams up and going ASAP each day, this means getting sign-up sheets. Two days this weekend, obviously: one run for those who can play Saturday, one run for Sunday. I will like to host the Sunday (10/11) afternoon run, and I would like to have someone volunteer to host the Saturday (10/10) again starting at your best available time. As this is a relatively short TF, start time can be later in the day - late afternoon, early evening, well into evening itself.

Sign-ups begin on the next thread post below. Let's keep running a great Shardtober this year!

...well... don't blame ye if you couldn't get people together on this. Dr. Q is NOT a popular TF. We've been doing Shardtober TFs on Champion server for years... so don't get disappointed...

You really need to advertise it, get a sign-up sheet going, stuff like that. Find the Pinnacle TF chat channel and advert there early and often... Sara Moore TF is vastly more popular so hopefully you can get a good turnout for that.

    Thanks for hosting this day!

I might login after dinner and check up on ye...

So send me your tells, come. hunt. RULARUU!
It's not as harsh a TF anymore. Just as long as people have Ouroborous portals it will ease the hopping from zone to zone you'll have to do. They also sell jetpacks in the FBZ zone to aid transport between the floating bastions, which also help getting around.

Average time on the tf is down to about 5-6 hours. You'll still need to stretch your legs in RL from time to time though...

    Again, GOOD LUCK!
  15. Settle down, peeps.

I advertised this on Player Events and have openly offered the other servers to host their own Shardtobers.

We ALL must face the shadows this month...

Good luck getting this Shardtober run on Pinnacle going!
  16. The Sunday Dr. Q run is now set to start at 2 pm EST (11 am PST) then.
So far this is the list. If I am missing anybody let me know now please.

I think there's two spots open, but again I might have missed someone.

REMINDER: TOMORROW IS SATURDAY'S SHARDTOBER! Report to Dr. Q at the planned time (show up a little early to make sure, and get your Inspirs slotted).

Wait this is your idea, right? >.>
I've advertised it on Player Events and am encouraging others to run their own Shardtobers.

    The more the merrier!

There's no theft here. Unless they've got some overdue books..... >
  18. I've tinkered with my Arcs more than once after publication. When I re-publish, does it go back and overwrite the file I have on my computer, or does it just overwrite what's been published to CoH/CoV server? Just curious, as I'm thinking of submitting an arc for the Architect Awards, and I just wanna make sure the revamped/fixed arcs are in my files.
  19. I've decided to go with the Hollows Recovery arc (328252) for Best Hero Arc submission. Anyone on Friday afternoon that would be interested in joining? Doesn't need to be a full team, just one or two...

  21. >.>

    <.<

    O.O

Where are the Sunday people? Pro football isn't that good this year (damn Bucs mutter grumble snarl)...
  22. ...One of the requirements is that I have screenshots (5) of the MA being submitted... for one thing I need to consider which Arc I should submit - not the short ones, the judges would prefer the big long ones for having actual narrative - and then I need to get a team together and make a few screenshots of it...

Gimme another hour or two to narrow down my submission. After that, can I count on people being online Friday afternoon to join me on the MA arc? (I work tonight on my part-time gig so not until tomorrow...)

  24. This is it: the last part of the 4-part Library arc I threatened you all with.

    Sara Moore Shardtober run FTW!
