City of Heroes was my first proper MMORPG. Sure, I'd dabbled with a few web RPG games in the past, but none of them had the true MMORPG quality. CoX is also the game that has kept me the longest, taken the most time and energy from me, and given me back so much in return.

I have memories of hanging out with great people, doing some insane stuff with my characters. I still remember taking my Fire/Storm Corr for some SG TF runs and having multiple people give me the "Wow, you're one of those insane building people?" reaction.

But all things must end. Don't get me wrong, I love this game, and if it were sold and picked up by another producer/studio/whatever, I would go, play it to death, rez it and play it some more. But, even if ncsoft cancels everything they've done in regards to CoX, rehires all the Dev staff (Who are just awesome I must say) - I've still lost any trust with them. The feeling for me at the moment is this: Why invest more time/energy/money into a game that could be turned off at the drop of a hat, for no valid reason?

But I verge on ranting. I'm posting this here, because as a non-VIP it's about the only place I have. Goodbye CoX, hopefully someone will purchase your canon/IP and remake a CoX2 - but until then, I guess all that's left for me to do is take a newbie character through the Hollows, one last time.
