Terrible way to start a first post, huh?

I'm not great at writing, I've most likely deleted this post a few times before I decided to roll with it. But, either way, wanted to post before the chance was lost; may still have two months, but never know right?

To start, you may have known me as XM Radio, a Puerto Rican demon named King's Blue, or that Steampunk Pirate from South Philly, Engineer Crow. I got my CoX fix when my friend offered me the chance to play off his account. Eventually, I fell in love with the game to start my own account, down in I6. Unfortunately, landed in the wrong server from where he was! That server was Virtue.

I never regretted that decision, to stay in this server. The community was nice, helped when I was confused. A random player gave me a bunch of influence out of the blue once. Playing a defender added to that experience, supporting countless teams to victory. That feeling of playing a hero (or villain) with other people was unique, you made a difference. 'Course, naming my character 'XM Radio' was, in retrospect, a poor choice and the only thing I'll possibly regret in the game. I originally thought it was an invention and not a company at the time. Siriusly!

Kidding aside, I played CoX when I was down. I played when I was happy. I played to keep in touch. I played to play. There were times it affected me adversely, enough that I'd retire when I deleted my character and walked away. But from hearing the game cancelled, I could never do that now. Virtue was kind to me, its people were kind to me. And I wanted to thank you for that.

You made it an honor to team with you. (Missions!)
You made it an honor to lead for you. (Raids! Taskforces!)
You made it an honor to fight you. (PvP!)
You made it an honor to talk to you. (RP!)
You made it an honor to meet you. (Chat!)

I apologize if I never met all of you, if I made you mad at some point, ignored you, ecetera. You gave me an experience I'll remember, a story to keep going. If you don't mind me name dropping...

*hugs XM* Even though we RP'd quite a lot ... it somehow seems not enough. And, I disagree, I think naming your character XM Radio was by far the most awesome decision you made. It fit the concept, made the character iconic, and you made it work. It was you in a nutshell.

I remember XM playing music for Tara when she was down, or to help her concentrate while working in the lab. I remember XM playing upbeat music when Daria was out leading a team. I remember Daria finding XM in the library listening to soft music while perusing the books. No .. XM Radio was a great decision.

You're more than a player. You're a friend. And I do hope we keep in touch. Maybe join Formspring? I have an account for Mandy that I deactivated for a while ... but I anticipate bringing her back. She'd love to keep in touch with her "big bro."

In whatever you do, know that I count you among the awesome in my book. Ask Dorian/Alex .. that's an elite group

Cheers ... *hugs again for good measure*
