Thanks. I'm going to give DCU and Champions a try, but from what I've read they aren't even close in gameplay quality.

And don't forget, no matter what happens, there are communities forming now for all of us who have been here. You don't have to follow anything religiously, but... you know, keep in touch, and we will too.
There are plenty of groups on Facebook and the like, but the real clearinghouse right now is Titan Network (http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php).
CO and DCUO are different, but they're free, so it's easy to try them. I only played them a little. I didn't like CO that much, but it seems to have a good community which has welcomed a lot of CoH players. I did like the little I played in DCUO. It has many fewer options in the character creator, but the character I created looked good and I felt like a superhero from the start, something that no other game gave me, even CoH.
I don't think there's another game that's really good for altoholics, though. Finding out an alternative to CoH would depend on what you liked about CoH. If you tell us, that might help.
I'm not much of a gamer at all and almost accidentally began playing CoH, but I've been enjoying it for over 6 years. What next? Are there any comparable games out there? I know of the two other superhero related games, but I haven't tried them and don't know if the gameplay will even be worth trying. I guess we still aren't allowed to discuss other games? If not, I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions via PM. CoH has been my relaxation exercise to de-stress after work for years. I'm really going to miss that, and interacting with other players, and hope that there is something out there to somewhat take its place. Thank you.
