A IC leaving post.

Just a short thing I put together, I felt like saying an IC goodbye to COH, I felt it ‘right’ to do. If the worst happens. I know the writing may not be the best but at a time like this I don’t think that’s the point.

Goodbye My Friend.

She knew that it was coming, as she stood on the roof of her office block in St Martial, A great wave of something horrible was coming, all her calculations said so. The woman maybe to some monster known as Countess Leeches sighed, it was hard to believe after all this time. After all the work she had spent into establishing herself, into trying to make a future that for once didn’t see her as the big bad evil. She shook her head sadly her black eyes hiding any emotions for now, her pale skin emphasising the light hitting it from the low sunset. She could hear panicking in the streets below. Sirens were sounding, people were running and screaming. Arachnos thugs were trying to control it in their own usual brutal way, even most of them had turned traitor and started stealing and grabbing anything they could before they tried to flee. Even a few Arbiters. She had closed down her bases in this area and moved her resources elsewhere. She saw similar panic in Paragon via monitors earlier. She felt no joy in this chaos, no joy at all.
A orange and black armoured Cyborg woman known as Emberdyne approached holding a small girls hand, the little girl had black eyes and pale skin and claws just like Leeches and Emberdyne said.
“Ok, everything is ready to go, the jet copter will be here any second”.
Leeches nodded
“Thank you Ember”.
Then she knelt near her daughter and whispered, “We are going on journey little one, don’t be scared ok? Everything will be ok, I promise. I would never lie to you would I?
The little girl looked at her mother, “Why do we have to go mother?
Leeches said hiding the sadness from her voice, “Something horrible is coming here, something that will destroy everything we know here”.
As she said that a noisy engine sound from above arrived and a helicopter with jet engines on its sides came to a slow landing as an entrance ramp lowered to the floor. Leeches took her daughters hand in hers gently and lead her into the jet copter strapping her into a safety belt on a padded seat and she kisses her cheek and said warmly, ”Hold on tight when we start moving, and don’t be afraid I will be here with you, I just have one last thing to do”.
Her daughter nodded smiling worriedly as Emberdyne moved passed her and said to the pilot, “Ok lad get ready to blow this place”.
Leeches lifted a hand to stop the pilot taking off, “Not yet, soon”.
Then she walked back down the entry ramp.

She needed a little time here to think one last time, she hoped Dean was ok, that poor man, he never seemed to have much luck, she had made contact with him, she hoped in some way he found a way out of here too. Away from this madness, he was so optimistic that things would be ok. Leeches knew though, they wouldn’t the end was upon them almost, she hoped to any deity that was there that he made it out. Communication had broken down in these last terrible hours. Everything was breaking down. For once hero and villain were united in this. It was sad that only now at the end was peace finally found. Peace in this madness, she really hoped Dean would make it, She sniffed back some feelings, sadness? Tears? No that was not possible. She shook off these thoughts and looked over the city scape below as smoke rose in the distance as fires started, the riots were getting worse. She then went on in her thoughts.

Another place gone, she blinked a tear rolling its way down her left cheek. She touched the tear with a clawed finger and looked at it surprised as more followed. So she did have feelings after all? She seemed so taken aback by this, so shocked, then she let the tears flow not trying to stop them. She looked over the St martial skyline one last time, this was not the end, but part of her had died here. She could feel that, much to her surprise and probably Emberdynes too Ember came down the entry ramp to the jet chopper and rested a gentle hand on Leeches left shoulder and said quietly.
“Let it out, its ok, I won’t tell anyone”.
Leeches nodded sadly and said in a trembling voice, “Thank you Ember, I never said it before but I do appreciate the help you have given me over these last couple of years”.
Ember clicked her head to the left a little and said, “Don’t sweat it, ya should know by now I liked ya really”.
Leeches smiled sadly and nodded, “Yes, what of the others?
“They know, don’t worry and stay peachy”.
Leeches sighed a long sad sigh, “I really felt at home here, I shall miss it, I really shall”.
Ember sighed too, “So will I, ya know I thought you would be ok with this being so old, so much changing and all that ya know?
Leeches looked at ember sadly, “Losing things never gets easier”.
Ember nodded and said quietly, “I do feel ya, hell I felt at home here to ya know? But I am used to travelling. We have to get going now though, whatever the storm is, it’s coming now, we must leave”.
Leeches nodded and got on board the jet copter and sat at the passenger’s seat at the front and nodded to the pilot, “Let’s go”.
Slowly the copter lifted and turned giving Leeches one last look at the city below and she said, “Take us over Paragon too I wish to see it one more time”.
The pilot nodded and Leeches quietly whispered to the city below, knowing her world had changed again, “Goodbye my friend”.

The End?

The end is just a new beginning, Goodbye all my coh friends and even the enemies, its been a blast I will miss you all. Thank you Paragon team, you gave me a home from home I will always appriciate it.
