Strings from Character to off map

Over the past couple of days I've been getting "strings" going from either a player or an NPC that is attached to them and it goes off of the map.

Here is picture of that I'm talking about:

All my drivers are up to date as is my system. I've not seen this before and have not heard of it. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

I've only seen that two times before.
Once was a bug related to my graphics settings on the specific graphics card I used.
The first time I saw that, it was on my friend's PC. His graphics card was the problem; and ended up melting itself onto the power connector as well as catching on fire.
If you've changed your settings recently, try turning them down and up, to see if you can find the sweet spot where it works. On the same note, it might be related to a driver change if you've installed different drivers recently.
It also wouldn't hurt to take the side off the case and sniff around to see if you can smell burning and also do a visual check to make sure it's not choked with dust or (obviously) damaged inside.
Maybe someone else will have better ideas, although they'll likely ask you to post a CoH Helper report and other things. For instructions on that, refer to this post. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=231628

One side uses mind police and will "disappear" you and the other uses poison gas and bombs on civilians. Hamidon? He'll just have a tree eat you. Much simpler. If we're all going to be oppressed and/or killed by someone, it might as well be the walking trees. At least they don't speak in annoying code or doublespeak. They just devour you.

What graphics card, and PSU do you currently use on said machine?

I ran into this issue a couple of years ago. A few days later, my computer's power supply decided to kill itself, taking the whole system along with it...

I assume that it's a hardware problem, possibly caused by insufficient power stability or a dying graphics card.

+1 to this and answer Cag's question in the form of City Helper and a HiJackThis report.
