Clockwork and Seer in game lore
Quote:
The psychic Clockwork are encountered, I believe, as part of Unai Kemen's arc "To Click a Thousand Glowies".
I have a character concept that involves the storylines for Seers and Clockwork. Basically I got to puzzling over what would happen if the Praetorians tried to use Clockwork warehouses to generate Seer Cyborgs instead of recruiting all the human young women. Since that seems to go so bad for them. I then realized that could go even worse if they were unaware of how the Clockwork King controlled everyone.
My personal plotline for this is the IDF tried to do an endrun around the current Seer network with a synthetic seer network. They used clockwork factories to develop the robots needed, but the entire thing just went to crap as soon as the first robots created were booted up. Some went crazy (just not dealable with in any fashion), some started working for THe Clockwork King 100%, some decided they WERE the Clockwork King (they could be reasoned with, sortof) and some just went Rogue. These Clockwork have Electrical and Mental powers, and I am running one of the Rogues with a Blaster setup (Electrical/Mind). I saw a Wiki entry on Psychic Clockwork. Have I ever encountered these in game and did not realize it? |

I finally located the sentence on the page. I need to run that arc I guess. Although the title, sigh. If it was written more than a couple years ago could be more literal that I would prefer.
Both Tina Macintyre and Unai Kemen have them in a few of their missions. In both cases they are from an alternate dimension (Epsilon Tau 27-2) where the Clockwork King wiped out humanity.
You also encounter Psychic Clockwork from Primal Earth in the first mission of Lady Grey's Task Force (losing Penny makes the King go even crazier and his powers manifest during his rescue mission).
