Skippable powers in TW?

Leveling a TW/Fire Brute, because I'm original like that. With fire being as clicky as it is, and with none of the powers being skippable (since I love self-rezzes), is there any attacks in TW that are generally felt to be not worth it or just not necessary to achieve a full rotation?

None of the powers in TW are bad really, but you don't need or necessarily want all of them in a single build.

IMX, having both Crushing Blow AND Defensive Sweep is unnecessary. Titan Sweep isn't bad, but you can do without it easily enough, considering how much other AoE you have already from both primary and secondary. Like any Brute primary, Taunt is optional but very helpful if you ever tank (and the TW taunt looks great).

Definitely don't skip Follow Through, Rend Armor, Whirling Smash, Arc of Destruction, or Build Momentum.

TW/fire brute is very good at offing the enemy mobs in a quick and efficient manner.

Defensive sweep you can skip, especially if you have crushing blow. Or if you want that bonus in it and have to have it, then crushing blow wont be missed much.

This character is going to be tanking on a 3-man team with my girlfriend and brother a lot, so Taunt and Defensive Sweep are keepers. Think I'll respec out of Crushing Blow, maybe drop Titan Sweep in a higher-level respec if I'm finding I don't need it.

Thanks for the help.

I like Titan Sweep as it's a good palce for the +Recharge Proc. As is Arc of Destruction and Whirling Smash. Those three powers with the Proc can super charge your recharge in combat. Defensive Sweep is the most skippable power I find. I find Crushing Blow a must have to keep single target damage respectable.

If you want to be an AoE machine, you can take only the AoE skills and taunt. With enough recharge I can DS,WS,AoD,DS,TS and repeat with no waits for cooldown. That chain will be 1 burst of momentum everytime, but occasionally the TS is a little late.

During a respec, I took TS last, so in some ouro missions I don't have it, but my recharge is fast enough to use DS after any move, so I go DS,TS,DS,AoE,DS and repeat.

On odd occasions DS starts recharging as soon as you start the attack, so you can immediately use a second DS with no pause for an instand 30% defence. You'll find spamming DS in some situations helps keep you alive.

Keep in mind that I use elec, not fire, and usually need to use Power Sink every 2 combos. My slots are just obliteration in all attacks and have perma Hasten. So you might notice a few differences using this style depending on your slotting. It only uses 5/9 TW skills.
