WP-good resistance on a stalker. Able to go toe to toe with most foes easily and come out on top.
Claws- While not the most super burst damage attack set out there, it worked for me plus it fit the concept exactly that I had in mind at the time.
1-50- The levels was pretty un eventful, going from mission to mission, contact to contact slashing down anything that happens to be in the path. While AS was picked up early, it is one of the powers that separated this stalker from my other ATs. AS one enemy (After build up became available, it was used mostly prior to the AS, after it was aquired and slotted the next level.), then fight the other enemies that are left over the good old fashioned way and then move on to the next group. Sometimes depending on how close the next group is, I may be hidden or may not be hidden. If hidden, AS was the opening attack. If not hidden, then any one of the attacks in the tray at the time was an opener and build up was used to buff those instead. There have been times where I only used AS once or twice per mission as I never waited until hidden status kicked in again nor had to slow down much to recover end. Every now and then a small blue would suffice. One thing the stalker WP set has the the other other WP doesnt have is the heal. It's relatively quick recharging and pretty good when things do get sticky. The only other thing I had bit trouble with was runners. Usually seen the backside of some mob headign for the hills about once every three or four groups and most of the time before I even hit an attack. But with claws, it has a good range (short range rather) attack that can do some knockdown to slow those pesky runners down (focus). I picked up all the claw powers except confront. Since I was solo, didnt need it. Favorite power out the set though was eviserate, which hasa very cool name and does some very good damage and it's a cone, meaning it can hit more than one target at a time. Shockwave is good too, a cone like eviserate, a little weaker but also short range and can also be good to catch those pesky runners. While I did take placate, I probably should of dropped it since as mentioned before, I didnt bother to wait to go into hide status again anyways and it only affects one target meaning the rest still attacked, rendering it kind of useless for my use and playstyle if I did want to go into hide status quick and pop off AS. Build up, became available at level 8 and picked up at level 8. It was good stuff for me, makes things die a lot quicker especially when used with Eviserate, slash, and other powers.
Hide was automatic so no choice in that matter but hey it's a stalker. Reconstruct, high pain tolerance was also taken as soon as possible. Picked up Mind over Body at ten but held off on using it until DOs became available. And picked up Indomit. will eventually when I started to encounter more mezzers more frequently. Skipped Heightened senses and started to work on the fighting pool in it's place for tough. Fast healing was taken while Resurgence was skipped. Took SoW but only use it every now and then but those times I glad I took it. It gives good resistance buff and doesn crash hard. In fact I hardly noticed when it crashed half the time as far as endurance was concerned. Had to remind myself sometimes that it crashed after noticing my end bar a little less than half way, but a small blue and no slow downs.
Patron powers-Took Captain Mako's Leviathan set. In it was water spout, and hibernate are the ones I took. Hibernate is cool but it kind of took the place of SoW and dont see much use but it's good to have when I needed it. Water Spout, I didnt expect too much out of this power but it was surprisingly good for my needs. It has fear, disorient, knockback, minor damage basically the works.
Never tried this one in iTrials as it was built before incarnate stuff came out and already on ice by the time incarnate went live. Nor have I played since the new changes but I heard the changes was good. ANd withthis claws/wp aready being as good as it is, then the changes may make it one of the most awesome builds in my stable. One day I may take it off ice and send it to DA but I dont forsee any issues with the mob there. ANother day in the office for it.
