Crab build need another pair of eyes.
The good news is, your Channelgun is correctly slotted for Issue 24. Since procs will all be switching to a procs-per-minute standard, spamming teir-1 filler attacks will no-longer be the uber proc-delivery system that it is today.
Increasing single-target damage without using pets or giving up AoE damage or soft-capped defenses....
Option 1 - If you're not already using enhancement boosters, wait until they're on sale, buy a ton of them, and make all your favorite IOs +5. You can squeeze a few percentage points of performance out of a lot of different things, and you don't have to change your build at all.
Option 2 - Drop Longfang and take Assault. Put all the enhancement slots you don't need in Assault and put them in Tough. You lose an attack you never use anyway, gain 15% damage to both single target and AoE damage, and gain Smashing and Lethal resistance that will protect you from defense debuffs and lucky shots from AVs. If you are bothered by melee defense hovering dangerously close to 45%, there are ways you can slot Tough to increase melee defense.
Option 3 - Do both of the above.
It may not appeal to you since it involves giving up AoE Attacks, but my own Crab's solution to both psi vulnerability AND single-target damage is to take Mace Mastery. You simply identify the source of the psi damage and beat it over the head with your mace until it stops attacking. Both problems solved! And Shatter Armor works great on non-psionic opponents too.
The only reason I would keep Longfang is as a backup when hit with -recharge. But replacing it with Assault is an option.
I got Ragnarok slotted and +5ed it. Bile Spray now kicks even more *** and Bosses are usually at 1/2 health when I get to them now.
I think what I'll do is keep Longfang and put the ATO 2 set in it. It has +3.13 melee def and then I'll slot Fortification with 5 Aegis. Keeps my Def more or less the same and I don't have to respc again.
I like this build and have a version of it slotted on live without the Apoc and Rag sets.
Few things about this build.
1. No pets. I hate pets on anything that is not an MM. No matter how much recharge you have they can still be down/die when you need them.
2. Lots of AOE. This toon was made to be a farmer. He is quite good at it, can stack minions and LT's like firewood.
3. I do have a ST attack chain for EB/AV's Its called Channelgun, once I get the Apoc and Rag sets it's recharge will be shorter than its activation.
4. Yes I know I should put a -res prock in Channelgun if its my ST attack HOWEVER I was trying to fix my Psionic hole I may still put one in but for now I'm not going to.
The problem is bosses. They allways seem to take forever to kill. I realize I can just turn them off but I want to leave them on. And with DA content theirs even more good drops that bosses can give you.
So can anyone see anyway for me to get more ST damage out of this toon?
