It's all well and good to start a new channel but when you're spamming your advertisements for it could you perhaps lay off the battle to overthrow the evil empire rhetoric?

I saw the adverts and thought there had been some big brouhaha initially. The lack of chatter about that in the other channels I watch made that seem less likely after some time.
I don't want and brouhaha at all. In creating the channel, I was hoping for it to be more inclusive and quicker to respond to the needs of the server (which is why it's an open channel as well). I don't want folks to pick one channel over another. I have been on the Guardian channel for a long time. However, the core moderators of the channel have not opened it up for others to be moderators, etc. Some of those moderators have left to pursue other games, RL, etc. We're the brouhaha free channel!!

I wanted to introduce a new channel that will hopefully make it easier for new players and current / returning players to join. The current Guardian channel has been around for a long time. However, a closed channel with limited moderators does not allow for quick integration of new players into the Guardian family. I felt that it would be best to introduce a new channel for Guardian. As such, I hope you will join the Guardian Server channel.

The moderators above can add new members to the channel in a quick and timely manner. We tried to spread the moderators out in different time zones to try and make sure we have someone on there at all times. If you don't see an moderator on, send us a global message or feel free to contact us in-game and on this forum post as well.
This channel is open and PG-13. We have kids that play on the server and we should respect our younger players as well as others who may not find such conversations appropriate. In the end, I hope we can build a channel that will make it easier for new players to be welcome to the server as well as our veteran players as well. PLEASE NOTE that if the open nature of the channel is abused, we may close the channel. If that were to occur, I would add a few more moderators to be extra certain that there will always be a moderator available.
For those who have left the Guardian server because you did not feel at home or welcome, I hope you will give Guardian another chance.
