Move applicable costume pieces to ear category instead of detail categories?
I agree that those pieces should be combinable with other facial details, but moving them into the ear category just shifts the problem onto a different group of players. The preferable fix would be for those pieces to appear in BOTH categories.
You're absolutely right. I was thinking it in terms of the item covering the ear so it would be negligible, but something like horns wouldn't do that.
I would love to see them in both categories. I want goggles and ear-domes simultaneously so badly.
Unfortunately, moving things that would normally cover the ears to the Ear category would prevent people from using them with the animal ear options, which would not just be covered anyway.

This, in my experience, has been one of the most frustrating and detrimental set-backs to ideal character creation. Almost every character I've made has run into this issue.
So why not move things like ear protectors, horns, etc. to the "Ear" category, so they can be applied simultaneously with facial details?
