NCSoft Launcher errors when updating

I resolved this by uninstalling and reinstalling the Launcher following the instructions on the support site. Note that when uninstalling, it asks if you want to uninstall all games too. Say 'no' (and then 'yes' when asked are you sure). That was not necessary for me. The issue seemed isolated to the updating of the installer only.

I tried cranking up the Launcher today. It began "Initializing" and "Checking for Updates" and then displayed the error below:
Error: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly '_Launcher, Version=1.6.6.0, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The parameter is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG))
File name: '_Launcher, Version=1.6.6.0, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null'

I've tried restarting and running as Admin with no luck. Any other ideas?
