I mean no disrespect, but the poor SG you're looking for probably got eaten by Arachnos some time ago.
Theme groups in general are hard to pull off in my experience, and that theme seems less popular.
You may have to try and form it yourself and see if you can get it off the ground.

I recently created a new toon and would like to find a SG for him to join. But what I'm looking for is kind of odd. I created an insect hero and was wondering if there are any insect/bug themed SGs out there.
There is a small catch. I'm looking for a SG that consists of members who are "actually" bugs. What I mean is, I'm looking for a group whose members are either mutants or science experiments that give them their bug like abilities. Not heroes who are bugged themed.
I'd prefer the groups be RP, but I'm willing to join non RP. I know it's kind of an odd request, but perhaps there are some other bugs out there willing to accept a new member.
