I suspected the person might be trollin' us, and the biggest indicator o' that was the fact that there was a 'personal trainer' involved.

Because let's be honest. Anyone who's ever seen you in-person knows, without a doubt, unequivocally, that you've never had business with a personal trainer a day in your life.
