Perma-Haunt?
Haunt is approximately perma on my dark/time with perma chrono shift for 230% global recharge. "Approximately" because half the time I fire off a quick /petcomall dismiss after my intended target is down so that aggro isn't spread around or the shades get defeated before sixty seconds elapse. I value its permanence less than the fact that I can frequently recast it on new targets, but on hard targets the damage is definitely pretty nice. I think it's something to keep in mind when you're building for recharge, but as a central focus? You should probably target a more important milestone and if haunt ends up perma so much the better.
interesting. Yeah I'm thinking they are a nice to have... and as you say the damage is a nice bonus but I'm actually liking the character as she is. She's very new (created 16th March - 50 by the Monday night) so I'm still getting to know her as it were - I've built her a pretty ok build but I tend to mostly aim at the softcap, simply to give her some surviving....

on my dark dark dom i have about 180% rech with hasten up so i can perma the shades by about 1-2 sec assuming they dont die
when im finished my build for 210% rech with hasten i should have them perma by about 10 sec again assuming they dont die
i mostly use them to absorb aggro or take a mob alpha

I quite enjoy the Haunt power that gives two Shades (why are they named differently?) but they don't last long and aren't especially robust. They are a useful tool on my Dark/poison troller.
I was wondering in an idly speculative way if it'd be worth trying to get them perma - or at least perma enough to be part of a regular attack chain.
Any thoughts?
