Large FPS decrease
While I'm normally hovering between 20-30 FPS, I've noticed (especially during beta when people were building the new TF groups) extreme drops in FPS. Last nite was the first time I've been in First Ward on live and there were times (with a small, mixed team) that I dropped all the way to like 2-5. Noting that I'm playing on the basic compatibility settings so it's not like I've got something turned too high. Older content seems to be fine, but any of the newer/revised content seems to bog things down.
You could be, possibly, running across rendering holes in the map.
If so, you could temporarily be "seeing" (and thus rendering) the structures of everything visible through the hole.
Another possibility is that you're entering an area with lots of objects (enemies) spawned.
Right now the Clockwork graveyard in Kings Row (the place where all the Paladins end up after spawning) is such a place due to the bug causing them to endlessly spawn sprockets.

So you think this is actually just random or truely related to new content?

One thing I suggest is to turn v-sync on so that your FPS caps at 60. All those extra frames are unnecessary(you can't even tell the difference except when the FPS drops by a chunk, due to the increased load of running 120 fps, even if it stays over 60) and loading your GPU too much.
You could also use the "/maxfps" command to set your fps lower without turning on v-sync, such as "/maxfps 60" for 60 fps.
Also, anytime you enter a zone/area of a zone with a lot of people using powers(even just toggles that animate at all) you will encounter a severe fps drop. That is just the way it works.
Hi all.
I'm getting crazy FPS decreases off and on. It goes from 120 or so down to 10 and then back up. It lasts for a few moments then it's gone. My CPU usage is staying steady at around 30%.
Any ideas?
