Team Inspirations don't affect pets?

Team inspirations only seem to affect other players on your team and not non-MM pets. This seems like an oversight to me and not WAI.

RWZ All-Pylon Solo Run

Any pet that you cannot pass inspirations to manually are not affected by team inspirations. Any pet that you CAN feed inspirations are affected by team inspirations. I can't see how this is anything other than WAI.
