I had oddness too. My character fell down the hole, hit a big branch, took a lot of falling damage, and then ... I got up and stood there, with nothing happening. I could walk around on mid-air, but then got stuck on the side of the wall. /stuck would not fix it. I relogged, which popped me outside the mission door in PI, with the mission completed and a next mission in the new DA set as active, which I had to figure out how to get to. After asking around, I learned there was a portal in PI by the Arena, and I got in that way. I don't think the rabbit hole is working very well.
Same here - my character was a martial artist, a super jumper. I couldn't make heads or tails out of the hole, found myself briefly back in the corridor, then the hole again. It took forever to reach a certain point where I suddenly saw the DA zone selection pop up. NOT fun. I can imagine several non-vet jumpers or speedsters getting VERY stuck in that hole. I did have a rocket board power which worked a lot better going up than jumping. Even then I got stuck IN the thorn spires twice.

In Beta, there was never a Dark Astoria 2 for there to be a pop up window which would have discovered this bug.
It is now a known issue and they are working on a quick fix to show up in a patch more sooner than later.
If anyone encounters this bug, jump or fly back up to bring up the zone selector again.

On Freedom, I started the "A Threatening Letter" mission. When I got to the part where you "fall down the rabbit hole", I tumbled down as normal. What wasn't normal, is that at the end of my plunge, I briefly saw a "choose which Dark Astoria instance" window, and then took max fall damage. I was then standing in mid air. I had to use a flight power to fly back up the rabbit hole, where I was then allowed to choose which Dark Astoria instance I wanted to use.
Also, please do us this simple kindness. Add Dark Astoria to the destinations available from the Ouroboros portal.
