Unable to start up game. Please help
Just follow the instructions in Hyperstrike's [Guide] Asking for technical help on the forums thread.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Sorry, to specify, that error comes up after I have downloaded City of Heroes Helper and run it. Sometimes that error comes up, other times it times out.
Well I was able to do the Hijackthis portion of it, so I'll list that on here.

I haven't figured out what causes those errors with CoH Helper so I'm not sure what to suggest there. Unfortunately, that program gives the best output of game settings and necessary computer information for troubleshooting. I think it's related to the version of the .Net Framework that is installed (either a corrupt installation or not having the right version installed) but I don't have a clean XP system without .Net Framework on it so that I could test it.
I really don't like the format and unneeded information that DXDiag gives, but that will have to do for now I guess. Follow the steps below to run it.
Click Start. Click Run. Type dxdiag in the box and click OK. Click Yes if a dialog box comes up. Click Next until you get to the last page. Click Save all information. Save it to your Desktop and name it DxDiag.txt so that you can find it. Click Exit to close the DirectX diagnostics window.
Open the DXDiag.txt file you saved to your desktop, on the toolbar at the top of the page click Edit, click Select All. Click Edit again, click Copy. Open this thread and click New Reply then right-click in the text editing box and select Paste. Then click Submit Reply.
From some of the D-Link entries in your HJT log I'll guess that you are connecting wirelessly, is that correct?

Black Pebble is my new hero.
Hello,
I recently downloaded the newest patch today, and since then I have been unable to start up City of Heroes. Before today, my game would start up normally. After downloading the patch today, my game will act like its going to start up, with the launcher opening and such, but right before the "loading" blue bar would normally come up, my whole computer will freeze, causing me to have to restart my computer. I am unable to use the task manager or anything and must restart the comp.
I tried repairing and even reinstalling the game completely, but it still does the same thing.
I am a little lost when it comes to computers, so I'm not completely sure what information is needed, but let me know what is needed and I will gladly look up specs and such.
Thanks in advance
