Resolution crash screw up

I normally play on 1024x768. For gits and shiggles, I only wanted to look at the game at 1600x900 for a moment. Now I can't even log into the game long enough to change it back without having the game or PC crash on me. What are my options? The only two I can think of is 1) have a VERY TRUSTED CoH friend with a more powerful PC log in for me and change it back to 1024x768, or 2) reinstall the game. If there are other options, I'd be happy to hear what they are.

These 2 methods may or may not work with the new launcher, can't check atm

1) used to be a "safe mode" check from the login screen.
2) used to be an external program that could be used to tweak (was it called "tweakcoh" ?) registry settings used by the game, including screensize IIRC.

Thanks, Arch, I found the safe mode you mentioned. As an FYI, the option for safe mode can be found by clicking on the client when you start up the NC Launcher. A dropdown arrow will be shown. Choose Properties from the dropdown. You'll see the Safe Mode check there.

For those who aren't very squeemish w/ registry, the following keys relate to game resolution:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\COH\screenX\144 0
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\COH\screenY\900

My native rez is 1440x900.
Common resolutions are: 800x600, 1024x768, 1920x1080

You can manually do the same for both Test and Beta accordingly.
