I can't speak for Fire Melee, but for Fiery Aura, there's one reason I swapped from TM/FA scrapper to brute.
Taunt aura in Blazing Aura keeps things from running like screaming monkeys out of Burn patches.
Now, it will work fine on teams if you have a tank with a decent taunt aura around, but solo? Expect to have to chase down things far too often if you rely on Burn for damage.
Agree. Rerolled my weird main MA/FA scrapper into StJ/FA brute and what a difference.
It still amaze me how different can the secondaries work for each archetype.
Also, keep in mind that until you get some IOs and power pools to up your defenses, you are more of a melee blaster burning ball of quick death rather than a run of the mill sturdy scrapper.
I just got a few purples on one of my toons and decided to take a break from him for the moment not to burn myself out, And my passion for alts kicked in but I tried just about everything on for a scrap except fire/fire I was just wondering what anyone thought of the combo on a scrap even if I keep getting put it on a brute or tank
