Currently, it's Dr Kahn TF (blueside) and Barracuda SF (redside).
If you complete a Task Force/Strike Force/Trial when it's a WST:
(1) You get double the normal amount of reward merits.
(2) If you're not yet level 50, you get bonus xp approximately equal to half a level.
(3) If you've unlocked the Alpha slot, you get a Notice of the Well, which is necessary to create Tier 3 and Tier 4 Alpha abilities.
These extra rewards are only good the first time you run that week's WST.

Additionally, there are badges for 'assisting' on the Weekly Strike Target. 'Assisting' means doing the task force on a character that is NOT eligible for the bonus since they have already run it that week. And.... that's why I ran the Dr. Kahn task force 26 times in one week.
Most people don't care about badges in general, and these are more tedious than most.
Anyway, I run a task force every Saturday at 1PM EST. I post a message each week and we have a sign-up here on the forums but lots of people just show up. We usually end up with two teams. We run them using the league interface so we can chat across both teams.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't happened accross that info in the past couple months since my return.
My brother's account is a free one, and either of the chars he would bring are level 50 (he wants HOs on both eventually).
I actually have one free account with a level 50 FF Defender, and a VIP account with 2 (3 by tues) level 50 chars. I'll get my Fire/Ice blaster ready for alpha in case we don't need the defender for some of the runs.

My brother and I returned to CoH from an over 4 year hiatus a couple months ago, and have respecced and spent many hours familiarizing ourselves with the game as it exists today. We would very much like to do a Statesman TF this Sunday, and after much research online we discovered it's very difficult, so would need an experienced leader to run it.
Anyway, just gauging interest to see if there is anyone willing and able to lead, and how many would be willing to go. I would be bringing my FF Defender (extremely team oriented build), and my brother could bring his invuln tank or fire/fire blaster whichever was most beneficial to the team.
