Regen Improvements: Add more debuff resistance.
Hey, I have been playing CoH on and off since the original beta back in 2004. It's been hard to play regen scrappers after IH became a Click power, but I'm giving it another try. It's been a bit rough considering Regen does not even have a general 20% End Recov resistance or Recharge reduction resistance. These small resistances would make sense considering a regen player is likely to have advanced regenerative skills able to overcome small debuffs.
Any thoughts? |

There is a lot of talk in that thread about debuff resists. This was right near the top of the General AT Discussions list. Search is your friend.
(btw, I agree that some Recharge and Recovery +resist would be great for Regens - my DM/Regen is only ever in trouble when those are debuffed.)

While I would not turn my nose up on Recovery resist, I can't for the life of my see why Regen should get it. If Regen did get it, I would also want it several other powersets.
Getting QR is a recovery benefit in and of itself. Some other powersets might get recovery resist, but not something like QR. Some don't get anything special related to recovery, and some like EA and ELA (who have energy/recovery as major thematic elements) have both. Given their lack of thematic relevance, I'm not sure why Regen (or WP) would warrant both QR and recovery resistance. Would I like it? Sure! If we're asking for things we'd like I'll take 10% or so defense to all damage types.

Thanks Xyzor. I'll check out the thread. Though I probably would agree that more sets could use general debuff resistance or even an inspiration that could reduce the effects of things like end drain and recharge reduction. That would be great.

Regen is in good shape as is, IMO. I can't see that it really needs any debuff resistance. It's not a bad thing having some capacity to be defeated....right?
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
