I am trying to decide which Lore Pet to take for my Level 51 STJ/INV Brute.

This is the first character of mine that I will be getting one on, so I have no experience with making a selection. I don't want to make a bad choice.

Do some pets excel in AOE, while other excel in ST damage? Are some better for support?

Any advice would be great.

Some other notes:

Storm Elementals, Carnies & the Laser Drone started to run low on endurance around the 3 minute mark and this hampered their performance a bit - that's pretty bad IMO considering the Character I was using had T4 Cardiac Core Paragon slotted.


Phantoms & IDF manage some solid times considering they are cycling PBAoEs (FSC & Whirling Hands) in there.

Obviously there is the whole, "Pick two melee or pick on melee and one support" option at the mid-level tiers. In my experience, most everything is pretty much on par with everything else. Unless you're really min-maxing, you can't really go "wrong."

You're not stuck with whatever Lore option you choose. I have 3 different Lore pet options on one of my characters. For me, concept is what determines which Lore pet options I pick.
