I have a choice between the 7 of these.

I just need something that's on that list that's at a good price, but, still very powerful, something that I can crank up all of the settings in COH without ever having too turn them down ever, not even during a Trial.

Thank you for any advice/help in advance.

I know HDD prices are stupid atm but I'm far from convinced about the value of replacing the second 500Gb 7200 rpm drive in the second option with a 750Gb 5400 rpm one in the first is worth an extra $450 especially as it is a slower drive.
Personally I'd drop the second disk - or better replace the first with a SSD.
If you want 1Tb of storage use a 1Tb drive unless you are planning on setting up a RAID array.
GPU should be good and while the I5s will be slightly slower either processor should allow you to max out settings - I'd be more concerned over how well they disipate waste heat though which could cause the processor to clock down so looking for some reviews would be a good idea.

You can certainly have things set to fairly modest levels with no issues, but you would probably need to tone things down for trials or lag locations like Grandville.

Edit: I would go with the Q7272 and the i7 Quad

H: Blaster 50, Defender 50, Tank 50, Scrapper 50, Controller 50, PB 50, WS 50
V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50
Top 4: Controller, Brute, Scrapper, Corruptor
Bottom 4: (Peacebringer) way below everything else, Mastermind, Dominator, Blaster

I'm running CoH on a Qosmio from two generations back (X300-01u), except that I've swapped the old 320GB Hard drive with a 640GB drive (the 320 started to lose parts of my boot sector, and I had already bought the 640GB and installed it in slot 2). The older Qosmio can run a few bits of Ultra Mode eye-candy at a modest frame rate at 1440x900 resolution. The newer machines look like they'll blow the one I'm using right out of the water.

I mostly agree with newchemicals about the Q7272 except that the 7384 gives 2 more GB of RAM and has conflicting data about whether it has a bluray drive (checkmarks say no, but DVD drive description says yes). If that could be clarified, it might make the 7384 a better package overall.

I note that ratings wise, the main difference between the two ratings is one person complaining about the resolution (1600x900) on a 17.3" monitor, which is true for both models.

Checking against Newegg and other suppliers who have the Q7384 in stock, the drive on the Q7384 is a Blu-Ray player.
That, combined with the extra memory and up-scale processor makes it a generally better buy for all-around computing.

Not that the top-end one with the hybrid drive wouldn't be NICE. But hey...best bang for the buck.

That site has the maxium as a video adatper 560m? If so, none of them will be able to max. Ultra mode; especially during Trials.

Don't be a mindless farm toon, we may need you on a non-soft SF someday. =)

I saw what the gfx processor is which is about the same as the old GTS 450. So modest UM settings. Could it run max? sure! Playable at max, well no not really. Of course some people don't care how much things lag if it looks pretty.
