Yup just had this happen on Defiant and we think we were on for the News Flash badge too.
When I logged back in I tried to rejoin the trial and got sent to a level 7 stalker's mission.

Huzzah. Back to back crashes. Luckily, I no longer need the 60 threads. Swearing off this crap until it gets patched.
Tired of this bug. It isn't exactly a tedium-free trial to end up losing due a crash 2 seconds prior to final Maelstrom fight.
