Afterburner doesn't increase Hover speed at all. It only raises the flight speed cap.
Once upon a time, Hover allowed you to basically ignore knockback. That was changed, and you now do the flip-in-the-air thing rather than actually being knocked, but you can't use powers while flipping.

Also, while you can't use powers while flipping in the air, the flip seems to let you return to the fight a lot faster than getting knocked down/back does.

Can anyone please tell me if Afterburner increases Hover speed fast enough to replace the Fly power? I'm wondering if I can skip Fly and go with Hover, Aerial Assault and Afterburner instead.
Also, the description of Hover doesn't say anything about preventing knockback like I think it used to. Have there been any changes to the Hover power from the way it used to work?
I was thinking of using Hover in combat and moving around because of the Hover benefits and then popping on Afterburner for speedy travel.
