Problem making new costumes

there are certain costume parts that no longer exist, but the game won't change your look without your permission.
so your saved costumes will actually look different. pay close attention to the faces when you do this. sometimes all it is is a renamed face detail, one of the face markings was renamed "fishhook" for females, if you had the previous version, it's actually still in the game you just have to "correct" it.
if your character unlocks a new costume slot, sometimes you'll see an icon on that costume in the costumes window, showing that there's a difference. you can use this as a guide to help you find out what's changed, like I did.

Ok 1st, I'm only experiencing this bug on one of my toons.
I can't alter existing costumes. When I save a costume, I can not load it. I get the error "Failed to Load: Bad Costume Parts (null) detected" (even with attempt to fix button) Keep in mind. It does this on costumes I JUST SAVED also.
I can not load older saved costumes, same issue as above.
If I change anything and go through with the whole process, when I leave the costume creator and return to the game world, nothing has changed, but I HAVE been charged for my infamy.
Really would love some help on this issue.
