Electric Blast, Dark Manipulation, and Me

I have an Electric/Dark Blaster that I made more or less on a whim. I like the concept and costume, but I can't really decide what I want the character to be. It seems to lend itself fairly well to blapping, but it doesn't actually have any tools to increase survival while trying to blap. I guess what I'm getting at is if you had an Electric/Dark Blaster how would you play it?

As a point blank blasting, punching, violent ink blob of destruction. Recommend finding buffer Duo buddy to aid in this pursuit, since from what I see, it won't mature to self-sufficiency until the 40's. You will, however excel at both AoE doom and single Hard Targets.
