Are servers down? Can't log in.

I just resubscribed to VIP status today because I wanted to try the Media Blitz trials. After patching and trying to log in, I get this error message:



I looked on the Server Status page to check if the servers are down. It says that they are all up, but I know how that page can be unreliable sometimes.

I also went into Norton and changed the firewall permissions for City of Heroes and NCSoft Launcher from 'Auto' to 'Allow'. This didn't work. I also disable Norton Smart Firewall altogether, but I still get that message.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I'm using a public wifi connection. Is it possible that the Internet connection has the game blocked? Any tips? Thanks.

servers list as all up on the (reliable, player-made) status page

It's entirely possible that the public wifi has certain ports blocked, though i don't know anymore what the ports are since switching over to the launcher
