Illusion/Sonic/Fire...please be gentle

Ok so after playing three characters to 50 and several others to the 30-40 range I'm finally going to focus on getting one IOed out. Originally I had intended to do it on my first 50 (a ElecM/Invul Brute), but after getting this controller to 50, I'm finding he is much more fun to play and I think he ought to be my first really tricked out guy. Now, since I've only been playing for a little over a year, I don't have a whole lot of money on my account (maybe 250million account wide), so my budget isn't as huge as it probably should be. But let's presume for a minute that I focus a little (yeah, right) and really work on getting this guy to where he ought to be.

I started with this build, which is pretty close to where I think I need to go. I'm open to suggestions. I played with the psychic epic pool for a bit, but after reading a bit (thanks Local Man), I switched to Fire and I am MUCH happier. I'd kind of like to keep fire since OMFG does Superior Invis love my blue bar like a dirty, dirty...well, you get the idea, and Consume helps with that. I like the decent Resists I have. I took SS pretty much to get Burnout as I have pretty much no need for a travel power and I took Burnout to stack Flash and/or Liquefy, though I tend to just ignore using Flash and start spamming my single target chain or Judgement/Fireball spam after I throw out my PA and ST (when I remember the Demon Elephant is up). So I'm looking for tweaks and am open to different power choices or slotting (I still got a couple respecs to burn on him and I haven't even run the trials).

First, your data link is broken so we can't pull up your build. This happens every time if you go back and edit your post . . . which is why I try to remember to always post the build listing AND the Data Chunk. Thus, I can't see how much recharge you have in your build at this point. I can't tell if you have perma PA.

Second, I have very little experience with Sonic. I tried it and just didn't like it. Maybe I'll try again sometime -- Earth/Sonic sounds good, but so far I haven't gotten very far with Sonic.

Blind: It would be nice to get some Damage in here. Consider dropping the proc and replacing it with an Acc/Dam Hami-O. Then if you can free up a slot, put a common Damage IO in the 6th slot. Since you use Blind to set up Containment, that damage really adds up. I'm not a fan of the proc from Baz Gaze . . . What use is slowing the recharge of a foe who is held?

SW: Normally I suggest using the Decimation set for the Recharge, but I don't know if you need it.

Deceive: Do you really need the Ranged Defense from the Coercive Persuasion set? If not, you can drop the pure Confuse.

Phantom Army: Look at my suggested slotting in my guide. The Chance For Build Up proc adds a decent amount of extra damage.

Recall Friend: I don't see that you have a -Knockback proc. This is a good place to slot a Zephyr if you can't free up a slot to put a Steadfast in one of your many Resist powers.

Super Speed: I usually just use an EndRdx. It really doesn't need more speed.

Combat Jumping: The defense is pretty minimal unless you already have a lot of defense. Were you looking for the Regen bonus? You would do better putting a Numina Heal in health. And why do you have a stealth IO here when you have (and use) Superior Invis?

Phantasm: I usually recommend against the Resist proc . . . but since you are Sonic, it may be a very good thing to have.

Ok made some slight differences in slotting and power choice (the Burnout thing was a little gimmicky and if I'm being honest I don't ever use it). When I did that, I got PA to perm The Ranged Defense from Coercive is because it was really tempting. The fifth slot of BasGaze in Blind was for the set bonus and I figured the proc could help on foes that don't get held by it. I probably should drop the 6th Decieve slot, and move it to Blind for a HamiO. I had Thunderstrike for the Defense and Accuracy bonuses and I feel like I'm missing the accuracy throughout the build now. Sorry about the busted link, I checked it on the new build above and it works. This was the first time I've exported from Mids and posted.

Also, the Perm PA is with Spiritual, since that is what I was building for. And the lack of -Knockback was an oversite. I had it once, then got rid of it to do as you suggested and didn't add it back.

Also, thinking about replacing one of the Decimation set in SW with a Damage dealing Proc since that deals real damage added to it. I also went reactive on interface, but I'm tempted by the new immobilize interface since that also has a DoT affect option.

Also, on the resist proc, with my shields and it I'm giving the Phantasm 45% resist to everything but Psi. It seemed like a good idea and gave me some defense to boot.

And a question about Lore Pets, right now I have t2 Seers, but I am really unhappy with them. Are Phantoms any good or do I really hurt myself by not going Warworks or Cims?

Updated build and was hoping to get a final once over if anyone had any suggestions or I made some boneheaded choice on slotting. Not much changed from the last post but I firmly have Perma PA with T4 Spiritual. Ageless gives me End and Recovery along with that much more recharge. He plays well despite his lackluster secondary and he's still a few sets short of finished so I'm really hoping to be great when all is said and done.
