This is a rough I came up with and am just looking for any tweaks to the build that may make it a bit better without going into PvP/Purple IO and would like to loose little to no dmg output.

What are you trying to accomplish with this build/toon?

Why not use Maneuvers? Why Assault at such a low level? No reason for a -KB IO. You are chasing after positional defense bonuses when EA is a typed defense set. No reason to get fireball if you aren't going to slot it well. IO damage bonuses really don't help in the long run. If they happen it's ok, and might add a 1-2% overall damage boost, but are not worth actually chasing for bonuses. The rule of 5. Slotting 5 doctored wounds would be a better investment in Energize. The +regen proc will only happen when you click the power. Might as well slot it in health so it's always on and can add to the +regen of energize.



Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Well, I am looking for a powerset combo that I will have fun with. What I want to do with it, well, I want to be able so solo missions on those days when not many are on when I am as my playtime can be during odd hours at times, I want to be able to run TF/SF, Trials and a little pvp here and there without having to have 3 builds. I know one build will not be good at all I listed but I am sure there is a defensive set that is more well rounded than the others. Maybe I should be looking at /wp instead of /energy?

Energy is a good set. Don't use sets that provide positional defense (Melee, Ranged, AoE) when working with a typed defense set (Smashing/Lethal, Energy/Negative, Fire/Cold). It is a waste.

For the record, this combo is REALLY hard on the end bar at low levels. When you get your mez protection/recharge boost power, you'll find that you are now attacking so quickly that your recovery can't keep up with the end drain. That will probably get better once you get better slotting, but from what I've seen, the teen levels are about to suck for me.

This is very true. Your Blue bar will scream until you get the PBAoE end drain/+def power (can't remember the name at the moment,) but after you have it you'll never have another problem.

I am currently running a very similar build but with zero planning; I am just kind of monkey-ing my way through with cheap SOs. I haven’t dropped any good money into my build yet.

Very interested to see what Pine has come up with on mids.
