R.I.P Accoustic Delusions (aka Muad_Dib)

If you haven't heard the news or saw the thread. We have lost a fellow art collector recently. Muad_Dib and I used to talk quite a bit about art and life and shared many stories over the years through PM's, Facebook, deviantART and irl at the HeroCons. He was a kind soul and loved the community here on city of heroes but more so the Fanart and Screenshots community.

I wanted to post up some of his art as a goodbye and in honor of our good friend Muad_Dib. Gone too soon at age 35.

I think he'd be happy to see these shown off some more. He hadn't been in game for a while, and he'd been trying to get his feet back under him (and making some progress there.) He seemed to be looking forward to - heck, I think he still had to get some work done on his PC, but after that, getting back into the game, or a game.

Not hearing anything from him for a bit wasn't that unusual - mostly a "Wonder what he did now" as we'd expect to hear something... and then having some SG-mates getting married (if they want to give that info, it's up to them,) we just... I don't think anyone was all that concerned they *hadn't* heard from him in a bit.

Then, getting this news...

He was proud of his pieces, and we'd normally get a "man, wish I could get in on that..." mentioning sales we'd find on the sg site.

Yeah, I think he'd be happy to see these getting shown off again. And probably apologize for not having more.

Those are some great pieces and I'd seen some of those before!
Hehe, Graver's take on AD is hilarious (in a great way). All of those are fantastic though.

Pretty sure all forum interactions I had with him were completely cool and, after hearing things, it sounds like someone I really could have gotten along with well.

All my best to his SG and other mates who are left dealing with him being taken away.

My condolences to his family, friends and to all the members of his SG.
It's always sad to read that we lost a hero (even a digital one).

Thank you Thor's Assassin for letting people know and showing off some amazing artz and by that giving the people that never had the pleasure of getting to know AD, an idea of who he was.

Such a waste, may he rest in peace.

His Illusion/Sonic guide is what inspired me to make what has turned out to be a fun controller build. And I am pretty picky about Controllers.

I didn't know him, and we never really interacted, but I wouldn't wish his senseless end on anyone. My condolences to his friends and loved ones. I hope he finds better in the next life.

Muad Dib was a mountain of a man, six feet tall with an armspan as big as the sky! He strode the plains looking for art and entertainment and ladies. He taught me how to discipline a child and love a woman.

He may be taken from this planet, but he'll never be taken from our hearts.
