Saved Options dont apply after being loaded

You're not doing anything wrong, it's a known bug.
Of course, the settings are found under: Menu > Options > Graphics Tab > User Interface Options Section
People have been complaining about the color options not sticking lately (the opacity setting has been bugged as not sticking for a very long time).
Settings not sticking can sometimes be solved by saving your settings to the default file (/optionsave, /wdwsave, /chatsave) and, without zoning, exit the game the long way: countdown to login screen and exit buttons. This sometimes forces the server to remember the settings.
Some have found that logging onto another toon where it is sticking and coming back to the non-sticking toon helps.
Otherwise, this workaround for the non-saveable opacity setting will work to also restore the right colors.

Had this issue for a while but never thought much of it.
When I make a new toon my default options are not loaded automatically.
When I click the Load Options button (or whatever its called) nothing happens.
My graphic settings (ie: Interface size = 85%, opacity = 72%), keybinds (ie: Select Nearest Target = [Tab], Select Next Target = [shift+tab] and [Mouse 5]) all have to be manually changed.
However my chat bubble stays as I want it (black bg with white text).
I have made a new toon, made th echnages and then 'Save to File' - exited the options
Re-entered Option - changed something - applied and exited Options.
Re-entered Options - clicked Load Options - nothing changes.
What am I doing wrong?
