CoH Video Series - Tutorial / Let's Play

Some friends and I have started a video series that shows the game from character creation to end game, and without help from higher level characters or higher level alts. We want this to be something for multiple types of players: The player that is interested in playing City of Heroes, and wants to check out what the game looks like and see it in action, the player that is new to the game and wants some tips and tricks, and finally those players that have been here a while, know the game, and maybe want to watch and listen to some other people's experiences and jokes.

The series will be unedited, so you will see everything we do from start to finish. All video and sounds will be recorded, and you can hear us talking to each other while we play.

There will be plenty of humor and information, as we do our best to entertain. Take a look at the series, you wont be disappointed!

I should have flipped the "tutorial / let's play" around when I started this thread lol, sorry about that. It really is a "Let's Play" first and Tutorial second.

We do talk strategy and give tips and whatnot, but to be a "Let's Play" it has to be unedited and complete. The point of it is that you are watching another person or people play through the game and living vicariously through them. You get to experience everything they experience, as it happens. And while we don't try to force conversation or use a script, the three of us that are playing are a very talkative group, so there is very little time with nothing going on. =)

I am another of the group from ThePCGamingVortex (I am the one that is recording). My character that I play in the series is named Unbridled Fury. We have been adding a lot of content since this was first posted so I wanted to come in and give an updated link:

The series will be updated at least 3 times a week. All episodes are in 1080 hd. If you have any suggestions for the series please feel free to let us know here or in the comments section of any of the videos. The goal of the series is to introduce new players to City of heroes and to entertain new and veteran players. We are doing it as a "Let's play" series with a lot of tutorial elements. Not bad so far. I'm just boggled that you got Unbridled Fury. You must have had a place holder.

I also noticed that you rerolled UF between episodes 8 and 9. Too bad really because the archery nuke (rain of arrows) is awesome.

I had a low level character with the name that I deleted when we started this series My original name got taken when they did the server merges way back so I had to change a couple of them but I still kept Unbridled Fury.

I did reroll the character between episodes 8 and 9. I didn't like that the area cone attack didn't have a knockback on it and it just didn't feel very visceral. I like the combat to feel like it has some substance behind my hits. My higher level hero is an energy blaster and so I just went back to what I know

I was just looking for CoH let's plays and found your videos. Good work guys, glad to see these are recent and are being updated fairly regularly.

Thank you! We upload at least 3 episode a week. new bonus episode going up today covering the zombie invasions that are hitting zones as part of the Halloween holiday event.

We posted a new episode covering tips and requests that were given to us from viewers. We covered:

-The "secret boss" in the Dr. Kane's haunted Mansion quest.
-The "It's Alive" badge from the last boss of that quest.
-By request I show my character build on my Brute.
