There are two possible answers for what you describe:
1. The patch server on Live has been occasionally sending bad patches to the NCSoft Patcher. It happened to me TWICE. Hopefully they'll fix that soon.
2. You have Crossover Games installed, or CoH installed on a Boot Camp volume. The NC Launcher behaves badly in either case - you will have to click the triangle next to City of Heroes, and then double-click Properties. Make sure the Install Location points to the correct City of Heroes application. You will have to do this every time you launch the NCSoft Launcher.

I do have the crossover. If i remove it, will the problem go away? I don't need it that much... 
Yes, but you'll also have to reset the preferences for NC Launcher. Use the Go > Go To Folder command in the Finder and type ~/Library/Preferences, and then throw out the one I believe is called com.ncsoft.nclauncher.plist.

And i am sorry, my OS is 10.6.8, not 6.4, as i stated earlier. Forgot i updated it.
Been having a similar problem. When I launch it it starts to load the game (the icon with Statesman shows up on the dock) and it just closes with no message or error.
I've been playing with the Mac client fine (I have Lion 10.7.1), but since the October update it's been doing this. Never had Crossover ever on this system.

Right after you attempt to launch CoH, open Console (Applications > Utilities) and then copy the last page of text and paste it here.
That might provide a clue.

Code 2 is file not found. Either the path to the CoH application is incorrect or it's damaged.
To test the first one, double-click the Properties link in the Launcher and check the path listed there. Even if it looks correct, click Browse and select the actual CoH application again. You might have to do that every time, because the NC Launcher still has a problem saving its preferences correctly.
If everything is correct, you'll have to uninstall CoH and re-install it to get it to work again.

I'm starting to believe there are problems with Steam. See if you can install the NCSoft Launcher separately from Steam.

Greetings, my search fu is weak, for i've looked on the problem threads about issue 21 for mac and couldn't find a solution to my particular problem.
I updated my client, and all seemed fine, but since issue 21 was up, i order the game to play by the launcher. I can see the Coh icon bouncing a few times on my Dock, but it never manages to launch. I always have to order the launcher to repair the game, where he acuses a bad file, redownloads it, checks every single one, and THEN it manages to launch. I have to do it every time i load up the game. It is very annoying.
My OS is a 10.6.4 Snow Leopard Running on a Core 2 duo Mac 15'inch with 4gb of Ram, with a Gforce graphic's board.
