CoH running insanely slow on minimum settings

Hi, I just came back to city of heroes after a long break. But the bad news is I can barely play the game at all. And also the login screen is black except for the login section and the red letters that say my drivers might be outdated. The weird thing is that I can play WoW just fine.
If anyone could help me out that would be great.

First of all, WoW (and most other MMO's on the market) use DirectX instead of OpenGL (as CoH does) for rendering graphics.

Your graphics drivers are 2 years old. They likely don't support the OpenGL calls that the program is making. Intel graphics chipsets are not a gaming chipset by any stretch of the imagination. Looking at the Intel site, I don't see any drivers newer than October 2009 for that chipset. Intel has long had a reputation for poor OpenGL support in their drivers. The game got a significant graphics update in 2010 that uses OpenGL 3 (previously it was built using OpenGL 1).

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.
