How to make free account?

I'm trying to set up a free account for my nephew. It seems strangely less than obvious what to do. I made him an account which has no games in it. Downloaded the client. It won't let him log in with game client. And the account does not show a way to "add" the free game as part of his account. Any help would be appreciated.

AFAICT, there is no way to create a new account yet. The "Creat New Account" button on the login screen says "COMING SOON".

An account with no games in it means you don't have access to any games.

I was under the impression that Freedom and i21 released along with the ability to play the free accounts. Is there some ETA on when you can play for free?

They've just started enabling previously made but not currently subscribed accounts.

Current best player guess is after Tuesday's patch/downtime but their hasn't been official word yet.
