A number of forums have the option. Doesn't this one?
I am not having a beef with anyone, but I have found that there are posters whose posts are clutter-ish. If I could have those easily removed from the threads I read, I probably wouldn't miss them.

User cp -> edit ignore list.

Click on the player's name and select View Public Profile. Then on their profile page, select User Lists, then Add to Ignore List. There maybe be an easier way, but I have not found it.
