To clarify, this only happens when trying to use "super tailor" NPCs, including the Icon rep in RWZ and Trina in the Tiki lounge. You can visit basic tailor NPCs, which now includes all trainers, and edit your costume just fine.
I've bugged this one a couple of times now, so hopefully it's worked it's way into the QA pipeline. ANY issue which causes a client crash should really be given high priority.

We've reproduced this crash (crab spiders in the super tailor) and have entered it into our bug system. Thank you for the posts on this!

VEATs (soldiers, at least) were giving them trouble all throughout the I21 beta, and I'm glad to see that this bug is finally in the QA pipeline.

Hmm, I've crashed a couple times when changing costume parts (i.e. chest or pants texture) using the left/right arrows after changing bodytype (male to female in this case) and loading a costume in the Super Tailor myself. Using the drop downs worked just fine though. This was on a Blaster, in the Atlas Park Icon store.
Normal tailors on the same character, or any other character don't cause this problem.
When I try to modify the costume, I get to the first 'body' screen just fine. When I click 'next', or select the 'tailor' tab, the game client crashes to desktop. I have only experienced this happening for my crab spider character (I haven't checked every single one of my other characters, but of the ones I tried were all able to modify their costumes just fine).
He was really keen on some of the new costume pieces, too!
