Framerate drop when facing 'fog'.

First time I've noticed this is in the mission map for Destroy the Clockwork in Going Rogue.

My framerate is generally solid, but for some reason fog drops it down to a crawl here, and I can't find any graphics options that change it.

If anyone knows what to adjust, let me know. I have a gtx 260 card.
