Dark Manipulation Problem

Personally I still think they should've put Cloak of Darkness (The stealth power from dark armor) in the secondary. It'd help with taking less damage on the way into a spawn to use soul drain.

The two sets together give you plenty of tools to make effective use of Soul Drain, you just have to take advantage of them.

Yes, it's different. No, it's not a mistake - it's a difference in flavor. Different sets = different playstyles. Don't like the playstyle? Don't play it. If they were all the same you would never roll more than one character. Yes, it has disadvantages, but it also has advantages: duration, buff strength > BU, etc. Like any other set, you develop a playstyle that works around its limitations and maximizes its advantages.
