Rad blast is quite underrated. Its single target damage might not be stellar, but you can provide some -res to your team with the Achilles' heel proc, and having a mag 3 stun in your attack chain is very nice. Also, having 3 AoE's is awesome once you get Reactive.
Some tips...
1. Slot procs. Especially into Neutrino Bolt, and once you reach high levels of recharge you can do without X-Ray.
2. Get the Spiritual Alpha, it enhances the Stun in Cosmic Burst, your heals, and most importantly your recharge.

The thing I always liked about Rad/Rad is that Neutrino Blast can do serious damage when it's boosted and accelerated. It's why they cut the speed way down on the blaster version. I just need to figure out if it's possible to achieve a similar effect without needing Accelerate Metabolism and Enervating Field. May have to stock up on some IO's with a lot of +recharge.
I've played a number of Controllers and a smaller number of Defenders over the years, with only one ever being Empathy; an Empathy/Trick Arrow. I knew the basics of Empathy but hadn't found that it was a particularly attractive option for me. (Ill/Rad's more my speed and controllers in general.)
Tonight I tried out an Empathy/Rad and it was, well, rad!
I love the speed of Defender Rad Blast and combined with the constant healing (Death from Below trial on beta) I was always doing something; never standing around waiting for something to recharge. I can see where this combo has a lot of potential to be a decent blaster as well as a healer/buffer.
Any tips? I've had a Rad/Rad defender since the game launched so I've got some experience with the blast part already. I've got some basic experience with the empathy part. I guess I could use some build advice. I'm not really the "stand around and heal people" type. I want some offense along with my defense.
