Thug/Dark and Incarnate System

Hello Everyone
I have a Thug/Dark. I just recently came back a month ago and just started to understand the Incarnate system. So far I have unlocked all slots except Destiny. For Interface I went Reactive and Judgment I went Pyronic. Some in game users say Spiritual and others say Cardiac or Musc. I do have close to a hundred percent recharge, so I am really doubting that I need Spiritual. I used Cardiac on my scrapper and it made a difference. I also have no experience with Lore. What do you guys recommend for Alpha and Lore?

Musculature isn't as substantial on MMs as it is is others, due to the 'low' base numbers of the pets. It'll add damage, but not significantly.

If you find yourself having endurance conflicts, Cardiac is a good route. The +Resistance on it is nice, too.

Spirituality goes a long way in negating a lot of the +Recharge needed for PermaHasten. Ultimate, Spirituality or Cardiac is the way to go.

As for Destiny, Clarion is nice to keep yourself un-mezzed, but a Light Purple is generally a good way to avoid being CC'd. Ageless isn't too great on MMs due to the lack of functionality it has for the pets, but it's a personal favorite of mine. As Dark Miasma, you don't really need Destiny's AoE Heal. I'd suggest Barrier for you. A bit of extra +Def and +Res can go a long way.

Finally, Lore? Pick whatever fits your character concept. No Lore pets are significantly superior to any other.

Well the first question I always ask MMs when talking about Alpha slot is do you have Tactics? Do your pets have at least 2 SOs worth of accuracy enhancements? If you answered no to either of those questions I'd strongly advise taking Nerve since without it your pets will end up missing a LOT on the trials.

Now assuming accuracy for pets is handled the next question is do you or your pets have endurance problems? If yes then Cardiac is a good way of fixing it.

If neither Cardiac or Nerve benefit you it comes down to Musculature or Spiritual. Both of them are pretty useful for a Thugs/Dark. Musculature is a nice choice for any MM. You have limited options for increasing the damage your pets deal so Musculature is a sensible choice there. It's especially beneficial for Dark because the Radial tree has to hit debuff enhancement which is nice for Darkest Night, Fearsome Stare and Dark Servant. Spiritual is probably less useful for the primary enhancement (since you say you are comfortable with your current level of recharge) but the extra heal, slow, stun and to hit buff enhancement will help a number of your other powers (Twilight Grasp, Tar Patch, Howling Twilight, Dark Servant and Tactics) so you might want to consider it for that. Overall though I'd probably go Musculature.

As Reppu said for Lore go for what you like thematically. there are differences between the pets but unless you 're a real hard core min-maxer it's probably not worth worrying about.

Here's how I went with mine (she took Soul Mastery as an EPP):

Alpha: Musculature, damage may be 'low' but it also affects other Incarnate powers and there's some nice secondary effects on the Radial Paragon which help some of your dark powers like endmod, immobilize, defence debuff and tohit debuff

Judgement: Ion judgement leading up to the Ion Core Judgement. A nice, devastating attack that has a wider reach on larger team sizes. Very powerful attack.

Lore: Seers Core Superior Ally. Psychic damage and mini dominators. I like them as a concept reason.

Interface: Reactive, naturally. That -res combined with the Fire DoT is lovely, especially as it works on ALL your pets, Seers, Dark Servant and the Thugs. Really stacks up.

Destiny: Ageless. While the recharge doesn't affect pets, it does have a +recovery on the Core side of the tree as well as refilling any end bar within it's range meaning the pets can continue hitting/smashing/firing. More often than not their end drains quickly so the instant refill pays off here.

Since she had these fitted at tier3, she's been a walking death machine, regularly wasting 0x8 with just common 50 IOs slotted (and some leftover SOs). I was also tagging along with a friend doing Maria Jenkins' Praetorian arc (they were running at normal settings then we upped to 0x8). While I was teamed with a fellow Incarnate we had to change the settings so that the Praetorians showed up as AVs to make it remotely challenging. I teamed with the same friend again to help her takedown Siege and while it was a long battle, once the Lore pets recharged, he dropped quickly.

I'm not a min-maxer, most of the stuff was just 'best-fit' to my own experience but I can vouch that the above set really does work wonders.
