Crashing to Desktop

Hi Guys,

I haven't played CoH in almost a year.. and got an email with a 15 day trial code inviting me back, so I thought, why not?

Anyway, I get about 30-45 minutes into the game, and it crashes right to the desktop. Any idea's on what's going wrong here?

My computer is:

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 @ 2.7ghz on an AMD 770 nb motherboard
Memory: 4gb DDR2 1066 interleaved
Video: ATi/AMD Radeon 4830 HD / catalyst drivers 11.6

And i'm running Windows 7 64 bit for my OS.

Oh my... The "Catalyst 11.6 problem." ;-P

This has been popping up for a long time. And there are several threads about this.

In short, 11.6 and CoH do not play nice together. We hope that 11.7 will fix this, but in the meantime the only thing you can do is to rollback your driver version until you find one that works.

And then, different drivers work for different people. So it may take several trial and error attempts. 11.5, 11.3, and 11.2 seem to be the most widely successful versions.
