Hi, trying to break out of my lurker behavior

(sorry for the "r" in your name Dechs)

I thought I would join in and ask for an opinion of my build

I like to stay in human form most of the time (I like to show off my costume)
TP in with grav emination and inky to mass stun
eclipse (if not already up), double mire then what every Aoe is up, then ST chain bosses, SC, make a fluffy

I calc my ST chain (sunlessmire only x 1 target, dark absorbtion at 1) at 196.9 dps (but I am not so good at the CoH math, plz double check that)
GW>SBlast>Sbolt, repeat
(I chose bolt due to fast cast time - Ebon eye was taking too long)
This includes the OD damage (33.1/sec)
but does not count the -20 res proc in orbiting death, not sure how to count for that, not sure how often OD ticks
not sure if the numbers shown account for incarnate -resist and fire proc

I use Nova for exemplaring down-(play the aoe machine)
, mules for posi's rc sets
and when I want to fly (and raptor pack is used up)

I use Dwarf of for the double mire,
heal (39.5% every 4 sec)
and when I want to tank/taunt and wade in with rebirth/eclipse on and 2400 HP/ 85% resist
(really cheese's off the tank who just face planted)

I have grant invis for fluffy's
and proc for build up in bolt and fluffy's

between stealth in sprint and WS stealth I am able to stealth missions when I need to

with 12% melee def, plus one 33% def inspir I am at the def soft cap (45%) for 1 minute of fearless damage dealing

perma hasten, duh

Am I missing anything uber useful?

I can't check the whole thing right now, but I will say that the chain you stated will not work. Your GWell recharges in 4.92 seconds (quite fast, actually), so you need enough activation of other attacks to add up to that 4.92. SBlast has an arcanatime of 1.848, and SBolt is 1.188, for a total of 3.036 seconds of power activation.

Even if you do GW>SBolt>SBlast>SBolt, you still will have a pause. If you switch to ebon eye, you can do GW>Eye>SBlast>Eye, which won't have gaps but goes over the 4.92 a bit.

With GW>SBolt>SBlast>SBolt, fully factoring in reactive, putting in the tohit clamp and a guestimated average for the Glad proc, and not counting animation time effects of hasten/sunless mire/summoning pets, I'm showing ~177 dps. When you factor in those extra activation times the dps will go down, but then you also get to add pet dps.

I always have trouble calculating that whole attack chain/Dps thing
Do you use cast time/animation time /double secret only we know time

I will try chamging out sbolt for eye

My other ? About what would be better is

Should i drop quasar for something like assualt

That would free up some slots to but into inky aspect which will be up alot
And help buff pets and teamates
Endurance cost and turning it back on will be a little pain
I have 2 action in 1 button binds to ease that
+down activate inky / up activate assualt

I would lose my best aoe attack , but it is only used when i have a blue inspir to recover from the endurance penalty, only small blue is enough to allow me to fire of SC for a full blue bar
But that nova boom is up every 80 sec
But assualt will help with ST damage/AV

Actually I'm showing roughly the same dps for you with eye>sblast>eye. Gwell>sblast>bolt>blast will have a pause because of blast's recharge time.

There is an option under effects and math in mids that lets you turn on arcanatime.

Adding assault is very much a judgement call.

Also a little pause with help with lag , late night nearly asleep play

Now that I'm at a computer, the build looks quite workable for what you said you wanted. Unless you have them in for exemping, you can steal the extra Recharge slots in Eclipse and put them in Dwarf attacks/Dark Nova Blast (you will still have perma eclipse with your incarnate stuff). I would grab the fourth expedient reinforcement for DE, change one of your positron sets to a ragnarok (probably Dark Nova Detonation), and pop the Soulbound D/R in DE as well instead of that recharge IO. I'd also change the Steadfast KB protection into the Steadfast +3% Def, and fit in some BotZ KB protections in your movement powers. If you have one, it's also nice to slot a slow protection in one of your movement powers too.

The IO sets shown are one i have in real CoH life
( wow my gaming addiction therapist will have a field day with that last statement)

When i get another purple set i will make that change

Great catch on the wasted slots in eclipse, left over from pre alpha daze

How much kb prot do i need? And how much can i sqieeze in?

12 pts of KB protection will cover just about everything outside of pvp, and since one -KB IO is worth 4 pts, that's a total of three. I find 4 pts (one IO) is usually enough, unless I'm specifically doing things that require more protection, like pylon soloing.

Generally, on a shade I would say take one movement power inherent slot for Winter's Gift Rech Res, and then fill in the rest of the inherent movement slots/Dwarf Tp with BotZ -KB's, unless you specifically need to slot for something else. That'll give you 8 pts of KB protection, and if you happen to grab Starless Step or Nebulous Form, you can get another one in there to hit 12 pts.

Oh, you're wanting to solo AV's? In human form? That's a whole other ball game.

If that's the case, your endurance is probably a little bit short of the task, but that's not your biggest problem (you could make sure it was fine with Ageless Destiny). You won't be able to survive for an extended period of time against a single target in human form. You will only be getting 17.1% resistance from Eclipse, and don't have the human toggle shields to stack with that, nor do you have significant enough defense to make up the difference. You don't have any heals either since you can't use Stygian Circle. If you find fodder periodically during a fight for Eclipse/Pet Summon/Stygian Circle you should be fine.

Ok played around a bit with the build

It was able to solo AV's (lvl 51) and a Rikti Pylon (take down in 2min 20 sec),
in human only form with incarnate power all T4 /Cimerian pets,
survival is achieved by using def inspirs (25%) to hit the melee soft cap, need 33% inspir to hit all type soft cap, the resistance from 1 target eclipse softens the blows that get through

My issues are
1 endurance, so I did what I could to trim endurance from attacks and toggles and max stamina
I assume I will still need to eat blues, but maybe not so often
every blue not brought to the fight is an extra def or damage inspir I can bring

2. It would be nice to be healing EE pets and Lore pets
so I added medicine pool aid other
Their extra DPS staying alive should exceed the DPS I lose by healing them

3 Healing myself
choice was Essence drain or heal self, so i chose ED (hmm, now that sounds like a bad choice), no interupt, faster recharge, shorter cast time, dose some damage,
but weaker heal and more endurance cost

dropped inky aspect to pick up nebulous form
more emergency time to wait for a cool power to recharge , even if that power is Stygian return, which I consider a 100% heal that damages and stuns my enemy and gives me 20 secs to do to them what every revenge I can dream up

also learned a cool sloting trick from AiB build, the +recharge proc in AoE attacks
I slot it in 3 places
Dark dentination, which use when clearing large spawns in human form anyway
double mired I call it the micro nuke with a 5 sec rechecge
if the proc hit (WHICH IT SHOULD with so many targets to trigger the proc)
my RC gos crazy fast for the next 5 sec, which allows for a DD>Sblast chain as long as there are targets to trigger the proc

I also put these into both the AOE attacks in Nova
Nova is my low level exemplar form and with those procs firing I will be an AOE machine at low levels

Dwarf form for me is part mule for the double mire nuke (or mini nuke of unchained essence)
and the bigger heal (or double drain, love that bind, thank you bind guide)

I will now try to see how hi an AV I can solo
and what it takes in extra powers/temp power, extra pets to achieve it.
